NEUBIE Neuro Treatment at DPT

At DeWitt PT, we've found the Neubie to be powerful in treating neurologic conditions (stroke, spasticity, spinal cord injury) because of it's multiple applications on the body.

Oftentimes, the impairments that result from these conditions result in either spasticity (too much activation) in some muscle groups or too little activity (hypotonicity) in others.

With the Neubie's direct current and available frequency range, we can use frequencies to decrease the hyper-activated muscle fibers and others to increase the activation in the ones that aren't doing enough, helping to restore balance in an attempt to normalize function.

It is common to have to build new movement pathways in neuro conditions, since the previous pathways were damaged. By sending these signals to the muscles, spinal cord and brain with the Neubie, we can help develop and promote these pathways, leading to increased function.
