Build Your Career While Making a Difference
At DeWitt Physical Therapy, we believe exceptional patient care starts with exceptional clinicians.
We're looking for a California-licensed Physical Therapist who is passionate about helping people move better, feel better, and perform better. Whether you're an experienced clinician or a new graduate eager to grow, you'll join a collaborative team that values mentorship, professional development, work-life balance, and evidence-based care.
Our mission is simple: improve the rehabilitation experience for both patients and clinicians while helping our Santa Cruz community live active, healthy lives.
Why DeWitt Physical Therapy?
DeWitt Physical Therapy specializes in orthopedic, spine, and sports rehabilitation using a patient-centered, evidence-based approach. As a hybrid clinic - insurance and self pay - we are able to work with patients from post-operatively through performance and return to sport training. We are proud to share a facility with CrossFit UP, our PT-owned CrossFit affiliate, creating a unique environment where rehabilitation, performance, and fitness work together seamlessly.
Our clinicians work with an incredibly active patient population, including:
CrossFit athletes
Youth, collegiate, and professional athletes
Runners
Surfers
Mountain bikers
Skiers and snowboarders
Hikers and outdoor enthusiasts
Active adults of all ages
We provide:
60-minute evaluations
30-minute one-on-one follow-up visits
No aides or assistants
Continuity of care from start to finish
Evidence-based treatment focused on long-term outcomes
Professional Development: Our Biggest Investment Is You
We believe clinical excellence requires intentional development.
Rather than building a traditional residency program, we've partnered with nationally recognized leaders in physical therapy education to create a structured pathway for growth that allows clinicians to continue earning a full salary while advancing their skills to become a capable and impactful clinician.
Institute of Clinical Excellence (ICE) Orthopedic Certification
As part of our commitment to clinician development, we regularly host Institute of Clinical Excellence (ICE) courses at our facility and cover tuition costs for clinicians pursuing the ICE Orthopedic Certification.
This certification pathway includes:
Lumbar Management
Cervical Management
Total Spine Thrust Manipulation
Extremity Management
Certification review and testing process
All four courses rotate through our clinic every 18-24 months, creating a clear and achievable pathway toward advanced orthopedic practice.
Clinical Athlete Mentorship
We have partnered with Clinical Athlete to provide interested clinicians access to their flagship 4-month mentorship program.
This mentorship focuses on:
Managing active and athletic populations
Advanced clinical reasoning
Exercise prescription and performance-based rehabilitation
Return-to-sport and return-to-performance decision making
Ongoing Mentorship and Collaboration
Professional growth is built into the work week through:
Bi-weekly one-hour small-group mentoring sessions
Bi-weekly one-hour staff development meetings
Collaborative case discussions
Daily documentation time built into your schedule
Direct mentorship from experienced orthopedic and sports clinicians
New graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
